About the Farm
El Carmen is a regional lot from Huila, in southern Colombia. Grown by smallholder producers between 1,500 and 2,100 metres above sea level, the coffee benefits from the region’s fresh air, volcanic soils and high-altitude growing conditions.
The lot is part of the Huila Reserve programme, which supports farmers in improving quality and receiving premiums above the market price.
About the Coffee
The coffees are delivered to Cofinet’s warehouse in Huila, where each lot is assessed, cupped and selected before being blended by profile.
In the cup, we’re tasting caramel, fig and macadamia. Sweet, rounded and balanced, with a soft fruit character and a smooth nutty finish.
