Quality starts on the cupping table.

The selection of our coffee is based on blind cuppings. We believe that every coffee deserves an equal chance on the cupping table. Our buying process is based on tasting, and careful analysis. We look for coffees with a clear character and a flavour profile we feel confident putting our name to.

Traceability is part of that quality. We work with suppliers, producers and processing stations who care about the same things: high quality coffee, careful processing and sustainable long-term relationships.

SELECTION

Our range is shaped by two distinct sections. Core coffees are selected for balance, sweetness and consistency. Roasted for a classic everyday profile. Our rare releases are selected for distinction. These are smaller lots with something particular about them: a standout variety, process, origin, producer or cup profile.

Some coffees are familiar. Others are more expressive. What matters is that each one has a clear reason to be in the range.

FOUNDED IN 2025

After years working in specialty coffee, roasting for different companies and learning from coffee scenes further afield, we wanted to bring that experience back to the north east of Scotland.

Sam’s background is in roasting, with time spent roasting and managing production for coffee companies in Australia and Dublin, alongside competing in and judging barista competitions. Rob came from a background in hospitality, coffee and service, including time in Berlin and running Cairn Coffee by the beach in Aberdeen.
