About the Farm

Doyo Cooperative is based in the Mana District of Jimma, in western Ethiopia. Coffee here is grown by smallholder farmers at elevations of around 1,900–2,000 metres, where the high altitude and surrounding climate provide ideal conditions for slow cherry development.

Farmers cultivate Ethiopian varieties including 74110 and 74112 on small plots, often alongside food crops and other plants. Doyo forms part of the Jimma Farmers Multi-Purpose Agricultural Cooperatives Union, which brings together producers from across the wider region.

Over the past two decades, improved processing infrastructure and training have helped Jimma develop a growing reputation for clean, expressive specialty coffees.

About the Coffee

This lot is produced by smallholder farmers working with Doyo Cooperative and processed using a traditional washed method.

Freshly harvested cherries are carefully sorted before being pulped and fermented, then washed and slowly dried. The combination of high elevation, local varieties and careful processing helps preserve clarity and sweetness in the finished cup.

Expect a clean and balanced coffee with notes of apricot, caramel and black tea, combining soft fruit sweetness with a structured, tea-like finish.
