About the Farm
Castellon is a 7-hectare farm in Quindío, Colombia, owned by Carlos Arcila, a third-generation coffee producer and trained landscape gardener. Since purchasing the land over 30 years ago, Carlos has focused on restoring its natural ecology — planting native trees, reviving a natural spring, and lining footpaths with heliconia and flowering plants.
With support from Cofinet, Carlos shifted from commercial production to specialty, now focusing on high-value varieties like Gesha. His approach is hands-on and deeply intentional, both in cultivation and in how the land is shaped.

About the Coffee
This microlot is 100% Gesha, grown between 1,550 and 2,000 masl and processed using a carefully controlled anaerobic natural method. After selective handpicking, cherries were fermented for 40 hours in sealed tanks, then dried under the sun to preserve flavour and structure.
The result is a layered and expressive cup with notes of cherry, rose and lime — a vibrant yet composed expression of variety and process.
