Haar x Mount

We wanted to share a quick recap of our recent collaboration with Mount.

The process began at the cupping table. Together, we tasted through several coffees from South and Central America, looking for something that felt right for Mount, a profile with chocolate and nuttiness at its core, but with enough softness and fruit to keep it lively.

One coffee stood out straight away: a washed El Salvador from Santa Ana.

It had the kind of balance we were hoping to find. Rich chocolate up front, a rounded nutty sweetness, and a very soft fruit finish that gave the cup a little lift without taking it too far away from the style we wanted. It felt approachable, familiar, and distinctive at the same time, a coffee that suited Mount naturally.

From there, we worked together on a custom package for the release. Mount has such a clear visual identity, so it felt easy to create something that reflected their world while still sitting comfortably within ours. The result was a coffee that felt specific to the collaboration from the cup through to the final details.

Once roasted, packed and ready, launch day began with Green Run Club dropping by for coffee. It felt like the right way to start, a room full of people who care about good coffee getting the first taste of the new release.

Later that evening, Mount hosted a launch event to mark the collaboration. Alongside the coffee, there were beers and espresso martinis courtesy of our co-founder Rob, and the space carried the same energy Mount has become known for: warm, relaxed and full of people who care about culture, hospitality and community in Aberdeen.

The whole thing felt like a real success, and a reminder of how much can come from bringing together people with a shared point of view. A big thanks to Liam and everyone at Mount for having us involved, and for continuing to build something that adds so much to the city.

You can now find the collaboration coffee on bar at Mount.
